Honey

Our natural, pure, organic LAVENDER HONEY (Lavandula angustifolia) is sourced from Bulgaria. The country is a top world producer of lavender oil from this aromatic plant. Lavender honey has a delicate floral scent in liquid or crystal form.

Lavender originally came from Persia and ancient Greeks and Romans used it to scent baths or on laundered linen. (“Lavender” comes from the Latin word “lavare”, which means “to wash”). The plant has historically also been used for its soothing and healing qualities.

Lavender honey is a light amber colour which turns opaque and whitish when crystallized and creamed. The aroma is a delicate floral scent with an evident Lavender component. Its taste contains a weak acidity without bitterness.

The human body uses tyrosine to make neurotransmitters and so may help prevent or treat certain brain conditions. The human body also converts tyrosine into many important substances, including estrogen and melanin skin pigment.
